Eating is a Very Tender Thing

Styled to resemble a wedding video of sorts, ‘Eating is a Very Tender Thing’ is a project in which I recorded a handful of people eating meals they love, the way that they love to eat them. During production, I wanted to create an atmosphere of trust with the participants, in which they could eat as they do when they are all alone, eating out of pure joy. The score was composed by the incredible "Stomach with Hands" (Keegan Gomm, Jack Lytle, Kirubel Kasaye), who performed the score live at the TIFF: Next Wave Film Festival. This video is a labor of love, and I'm so glad to have created this time capsule which includes so many people who I care so much about.
