Wobbly Work

“I’m a 21 year old illustrator based in East London. I’m at the beginning of my career, which, along with the post-graduation rough patch lots of people go through, can sometimes feel sluggish and a bit confusing, but making art and pushing through each day to make progress in my work keeps me going. I love the really handmade and ‘wobbly’ sort of look in my work, and by that I mean the sketchy lines, the overlaying of very thin layers of gouache and the wonky shapes. As for colours I naturally gravitate towards those pastel and earthy tones. I draw familiar things and spaces and most recently I’ve been working on children’s book illustrations which I absolutely love. It’s my dream to publish my own picture books and work on other authors’ books too.”
