Guilt and the female form; a battle that has defined the female experience of many, for far too long. The fear of “failure” and inherent guilt are exacerbated by our self-critical mentality, societal standards and unattainable body ideals. Consequently, acceptance and self love have proved to be one of life’s toughest and most valuable battles. This series speaks to overcoming the guilt associated with the female body and celebrating diversity, inclusivity, and visibility, while empowering women. To rewrite our bodies’ narrative is to renounce the all too familiar self-contempt, allowing room for acceptance and embracing our ever changing bodies.
