Where Do You Find Comfort

Where Do You Find Comfort (2019) is a poetic film piece which seeks to raise the idea of the physical, emotional, sexual and mental safety and/or comfort as a woman. From an early age there is an internal instinct to find safety, balance and solid ground to produce a home for oneself, but how? I wanted to raise a question rather than give an answer.  This work was mainly Influenced by the essay of Virginia Wolf  'A Room of One's Own' (1929).

During this creation, I have been travelling around the world visiting the USA, Mexico, Germany, UK, and my home town Tel Aviv, Israel. I met my photographer in New York City - Pauline Freinfeld, and collaborated with the singer/performer Maddie Rose White Munk for narration of the piece in Berlin, and been editing and writing in my current home in London. 

Making this film has taught me that a home has already been created within and this is a manifestation of my comfort.
