Japan Through My Eyes

About a month ago, I travelled to Japan with a few close friends for two weeks. We visited Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo. All three cities were amazing and each had a different atmosphere, but the city that truly captured my heart was Kyoto.

Although, I've been telling everyone that Tokyo was my favourite (and yes, it definitely is), there was just something about Kyoto. It was peaceful, filled with beautiful scenery of nature, and just completely different from Toronto.

We went to Fushimi-Inari Shrine and planned to walk up to the top of the mountain, but instead we ended up walking on a quiet neighbourhood which was actually kinda nice. What's funny is that we only stayed in Kyoto for a couple hours then headed back to Osaka. But with that being said, those couple hours of being Kyoto really made me feel at ease.

We stayed in Tokyo for a week. We walked everywhere! There were shops in almost every corner which was low key dangerous for my bank account -- haha. The weather was not too hot or too cold and the food was amazing. Experiencing nightlife there was crazy, too.

We got lost numerous times, but I didn't feel worried at all because I was with my friends and I was happy. Overall, it was an experience that I will never forget. I will definitely be coming back again.
