Centre of Attention

As a young black Haitian female artist, I always want my work to be a reflection of that. In a lot of my work, you’ll mainly see black women be at the centre of attention.

Growing up, I saw that women had to act a certain way to be there but not seen, it never sat well with me. This inspired me to create work, where the women are very present and the emotion evoked in the piece is seen loud and clear. I hope that my work inspires others to express themselves and not back their voices.
