Animalia

I am really captivated by nature and also enjoy human connection. These pieces all came to be through people I've encountered and the conversations I've had with them. If I am inspired by someone or feel I connect to them, I like to ask what their favourite animal is. Eventually, I sit down with a pen and my sketchbook and sometime later I have one of these. I really enjoy the process and take my time with it, focusing a lot on all the different details I can capture. Creating art is like meditation for me and a way to keep myself centered. I like to create pieces that viewers can appreciate and maybe get a little lost in, too.
